The National Joint Apprenticeship Training Committee (NJATC) is responsible for providing training for individuals who are interested in a career working in the electrical industry. Through NECA and the IBEW, over 1000 hours of classroom training and 10,000 hours of on-the-job training are provided to an apprentice in the IBEW. Apprentices benefit from a standardized curriculum that has been developed over the course of 60 years and also receives valuable on-the-job training from skilled craftsmen, many with years of experience.
